Located along Highway 46, Gackle Coop provides all

Dani's Place
Dani's Place was purchased in 1991 by Dani and Lori
Geinert. Suppers are provided
Wednesday and Saturday evenings. Live music/Dances
on occasion. In 2003 Dani�s Place has
changed the �Blue Room� to the �CampFire Lounge.�

Haut Funeral Homes began in Gackle in 1907 providing
funeral sales and service. Today,

Lenhardt's Insurance
Lenhardt's Insurance has been a part of the Gackle
community since 1961. David and Caryn Rivinius
purchased the business from his father in 1989 and
continue to provide all types of insurance for the
surrounding area. |
Krieger Movie Theater
Gackle is home to the Krieger Movie Theater, which
is one of the oldest family owned theaters in North
Dakota. It first opened its doors in 1946 and
has been at its present location since 1948. Movies
are shown each weekend (8pm) May - September. |
Gackle Public Library
The Gackle Public Library was established in 1936 as
a project of the American Legion Auxiliary. The
Library was inactive from 1940 to 1953 but now the
library has volume between two and three thousand
hardcover books, paper backs, videos, and magazines. |
Miller Honey Farms
Miller Honey was established in Gackle in
1969. Miller Honey Farms have had over110 years of
honey production and pollination. Branches include
;Newcastle, California, Blackfoot, Idaho, and of
course Gackle North Dakota. Miller Honey is owned
and ran by John R. Miller. |
United States Postal Service
of Gackle
The U.S. Postal Office has been located at 202 Main
St. since relocating to their new building in 1961.
It continues to be on the Gackle�s main early
morning gathering spots. |
Gackle
Senior Citizens Club
Organized on January 12, 1971 under the direction of
pastor Lloya Miller. The purpose of the club is for
senior citizens to get together for recreation and
visitation. Monthly meetings are held for
information and fellowship. The present officers
are; President - Ellen Wirkkunen Secretary � Laverna
Kleingartner Treasurer � Doris Batsch Directors -

Syde Street Ceramics
Having a love for ceramics, Patty Elhard opened Syde
Street Ceramics in 1995. She provides classes,
greenware, and finished ware. During the month
of May it also becomes the site of the Gackle
Greenhouse. |

D&L Grocery
D&L Grocery Store has been in the Gackle area since
1993 providing food stuffs, bakery products and a
meat department. |
Gackle
Tastee Freez
The Tastee Freez was moved from Jamestown in 1969 by
Maurice and Marilyn Elhard. It sold in 1978 to Joe
and Kathy Michael. In 1981 Diane Walker purchased
the Tastee Freez. After a small fire and some
repairs Diane sold the Tastee Freez to Carol Muller.
In 1990 Ardell and Barb bought the Tastee Freez. The
Schmidt�s sold it to Terry Jaeger in 2000, Terry is
the current owner and manager. |
Country Rose Salon
The Country Rose Salon is a tow-chair full hair care
salon. Owner and operator, Rosalie Long, established
the business iln September of 1999.Hours are 9 am �
6pm Tuesday thru Friday |
Double J
Double J Manufacturing and Repair opened its
business in Gackle in June, 2002 on Main Street.
Double J is owned and operated by Jeff Entzminger of
Medina and James Owen of Gackle. The business offers
services and supplies for auto, truck, recreational
vehicles and tractor repair. |
Community
Caf�
The Gackle Community Caf� was opened in April 5,
2004 after the building was purchased by the
Community Development of Gackle. The Caf� board
consists of Brenda Krause, President; Mary Jo Fries,
Vice President; Sandy Rivinius, Sec-Treas: Barb
Schmidt, Patty Elhard as Directors. Sandy Bentz is
the current manager of the Gackle Community Caf�. |
Stylistic Shoppe
Ann Zimmerman purchased the �Stylistic Shoppe� from
Tina Kuhn in 1988. Ann is currently in her fifteenth
year of serving the community in hair cutting,
perms, and color. |
Anderson Trucking
Anderson Trucking is owned and operated by Jon
Anderson and has served the local elevator and
farmers for several years. |
Willies Place
In October of 1991 Wilbert Janke bought the
Twin Ford building and started doing automotive work
and provided gas to customers. In July of 1996
Wilbert built and moved to a new building across
from the Gackle Co-op Oil and continues to do work
there. |
Gackle Grain Coop
The Gackle Grain Coop was organized on
February 19, 1919. It was closed for two years in
the early forties because of bad crops then
reopened. In 1990, Co-operative Elevator Company of
Gackle and Tri- County Coop Elevator Association
consolidated to form a new business called Gackle
Grain Coop |
Denning Construction
Denning Construction is operated and owned
by Wilbert Denning, who has been in business for
many years. Denning Construction does a Variety of
jobs. Danny and David are the two sons of Wilbert
and Nedina and are full time construction workers. |
